After a big 2016 including supports for Willie Watson (ex Old Crow Medicine Show), Joshua Hedley (Third Man Records artist and fiddle player for Jonny Fritz, Justin Townes Earle and a host of others), Joe Pug (USA), and appearing as guest singer at shows with Robert Ellis and The Perfect Strangers during their Australian tour, performing at Out On The Weekend, and releasing her accomplished live, old-time and country album The Unceremonious Junking of Me, Hollick headed into the studio in December to start work on a new EP. Released in April of 2017, the new EP was recorded at Union Street Studio, Brunswick West, and produced by Roger Bergodaz (Lost Ragas, and owner of Union Street Studio) and Shane Reilly (Lost Ragas, Tex Perkins, and accomplished arranger and multi instrumentalist, having worked as a session musician with many of Australia's revered acts, and with the brilliant Madeleine Peroux). The EP features instrumentation by Bergodaz, Reilly, Kat Mear (Cash Savage and The Last Drinks) and Hollick on five of her most recent songs, including Long Gone Daddy'o Yodel, Way Over Yonder With You, Silver Water, Tough As A Sundried Dead Man's Skin and Turtle Dove.

Welcoming an even bigger year in 2017, shows kicked off in February, seeing Hollick appear at White Night Festival, Nannup Music Festival (W.A), supports for Scandinavian folk duo, My Bubba (Third Man Records), at shows in Sydney and Melbourne, support for Tex Perkins and the Strangers, performances at Boogie Festival, Gumball Festival, Broadbeach Country Music Festival, Gympie Music Muster, Queenscliff Music Festival, Kyneton Music Festival, Out On The Weekend and Dorrigo Folk and Bluegrass Festival.

Hollick's new EP Don't Mess With The Doyenne was received warmly by radio across Australia, drawing attention with her yodelling and effortless country vocals and the smooth, but unusual instrumentation provided by her band. She embarked on an East Coast Tour of Australia that spanned November 2017 to March 2018, with intermittent interstate and local Victorian touring throughout the year, between recording sessions at Union Street Studios, including supports for Joshua Hedley, Lillie Mae, Steve Poltz and Brothers Comatose.

Hollick's new album 'Feral Fusion' is due for release August 31 2018, with leading single 'Mister One Time' released in July.

Keep your peepers on her social media sites for announcements of more dates, and any news of overseas touring or extended tours across Australia. Good times folks.
